Why All The fuss?

​​Why is it that I would lift up my voice and unite it with a few others to oppose a religious head speaking to a joint session of congress?  The answer in regards to the political reasons have been stated quite well on the site:  www.churchandstateseparate.com
The religious reasons for this opposition I will be focusing on throughout this month.  October 31, 1517 is the date that is stamped in history as to when Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis to the door of the Wittenberg Castle church and thus protesting Rome.  It was this act that birthed Protestantism.  Since I am a protestant I am celebrating its birth since it has apparently died today.  Throughout this month I will give the reasons for my belief, bringing light not only to Martin Luther but those that prepared the way before him.  I hope to ignite a fire in some to research those reformers who were standing up to the tyranny of that time.
