I thought I would give you a link to my favorite milk ever, no cow necessary! In one way it is good that gas prices are lower because food prices are so up and down. This recipe may not necessarily be cheaper than purchasing cow's milk but it is going to be healthier. Here is the link to my most favorite milk ever: once you click, scroll down to almond milk. http://www.restorationisnow.com/health-and-beauty.html
Speaking of food prices I thought I would give you a couple updates on some deals that I have discovered. Chia seeds: 5 lb. bag on sale for $30.45 averages $6.09 per lb. at - Azure Standard 2lb. bag for $13.49 averaging $6.75/lb. at - Costco Buy 1lb. get second free for $33.99 at - Puritan's Pride (This is where I used to get my chia seeds. Yikes!) Carob: I use carob more instead of chocolate, my son does not need any extra stimuli. :0 ) 18 oz. bag for $5.18 at a local grocery health food section 5 lbs. (80 oz.) for $7.20 at - Azure (Love this savings!) We use both items quite often in our smoothies and I rotate sprinkling chia and flax seed on our oatmeal. Cashews: I use cashews when I make my sweet cream sauces. Unfortunately the price has gone up. 3 months ago: $2.69/lb. 2months ago: $$4.29/lb. now: 3.96/lb. This is the current price at Winco. They are quite a bit cheaper than Azure Standard Pass on those savings, if you find any great deals I would love to hear about them. To good health, Renie
