Have you ever thought the Bible was hard understand? Through the ages, men and rulers desired to keep these inspired and empowering pages hidden from the masses; locked up and never to be understood. As light began to shine forth through the years of the reformation, there were men who desired to get these Holy Scriptures in the hands of common folks who were then not allowed to have possession of them. Through those years and in the ages to come, men began to realize that the Bible actually explains itself when studied by comparing scripture with scripture. When using this method, as William Tyndale envisioned, even a plow boy would know more about the scriptures than the so-called scholar.
There is much symbolism in the Bible. It's as if God desires to tell us stories and explain His purposes through pictures and symbols. There are several places in the Bible where the Holy Spirit is represented as something tangible. God desires to connect with us and help us to comprehend His beauty through these symbols.
